National Honor Society is for high schoolers grades 9-12, who meet high academic standards and represent to others the 5 core values or pillars:
Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character, and Citizenship. Through a selection process by high school faculty, students who qualify for NHS are chosen based on their academic success, community involvement, leadership skills and overall high character. They are among the best students in their class and have a commitment of service to others.
At Postville, NHS students participate in service learning projects, take on leadership roles in the school and community, display strong character traits, and continue to meet high academic expectations.
