National Honor Society Carnation Fundraiser

From January 26 to February 6 the National Honor Society will be taking orders to purchase. The carnations will be delivered to Postville students and staff and in-town residents on February 12.

Available Colors:

  • Red
  • Pink
  • White

Prices:

  • 1 carnation for $3.00
  • 2 carnations for $5.00

If you have further questions or wish to place an order, please contact a NHS member or the NHS Sponsor, Annette Frey.

All proceeds will go directly to:

  • The Postville Food Pantry
  • Northeast Iowa Humane Society
  • A Postville Community Member in need

Congratulations to the New NHS Members (2025)

Postville's NHS members

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, an Induction Ceremony was held at the school's Fine Art Center. Postville's National Honor Society inducted eight new members into their chapter of the NHS.

Students being inducted are:

  • Delia Acevedo, Makenna Erickson, Deiver Gomez Tajtaj, Alexandra Mejia, Esveydi Palafox Schultz, Jasmin Roman, Sophia Salinas, Antoni Solovi

Holiday Fundraiser for NHS 2025

From September 22 to October 13 the National Honor Society will be hosting a fundraiser for holiday items. Items may be ordered on the website: Charleston Wrap. This fundraiser will help support NHS activities, service projects, and national dues. If you have further questions, please contact a NHS member or the NHS Sponsor, Annette Frey.

Support the Diversity Celebration by Purchasing a Shirt

Postville's Student Ambassadors and National Honor Society will be hosting a Diversity Celebration on April 6th.  T-shirts for sale to support this celebration. If you would like to purchase one you may print an order form from this website or pick a form up in the school office or the public library.

T-Shirt cost: $20

Payment: Due with order form

Deadline: Form and payment must be turned in by March 12

Forms and payment can be dropped off in either school office or the public library.

Postville Community School District Diversity Celebration

A date has been set for the 2025 Diversity Celebration: Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the high school gym. Student Ambassadors and National Honor Society members will once again be organizing the community event. In order to make it a success, we need your help. We are looking for a diverse group of performances, showcasing Postville’s diverse community. This event provides our students, families, community, businesses and school an opportunity to celebrate the rich traditions that exist in Postville.

Performances may include dances, songs, fashion shows, presentations, or anything else that showcases a culture represented in Postville. Participants are not limited to Postville students.

Celebración de la diversidad de Postville

Se ha fijado una fecha para la Celebración de la diversidad de 2025: el domingo 6 de abril de 2025 en el gimnasio de la escuela secundaria. Los embajadores estudiantiles y los miembros de la Sociedad Nacional de Honor organizarán una vez más el evento comunitario. Para que sea un éxito, necesitamos su ayuda. Estamos buscando un grupo diverso de presentaciones que muestren la diversa comunidad de Postville. Este evento ofrece a nuestros estudiantes, familias, comunidad, empresas y escuela la oportunidad de celebrar las ricas tradiciones que existen en Postville.

Las presentaciones pueden incluir bailes, canciones, desfiles de ropas típicas, presentaciones o cualquier otra cosa que muestre una cultura representada en Postville. Los participantes no se limitan a los estudiantes de Postville.
