Cora B. Darling Elementary teachers assign homework, extra class activities, or assignments as necessary. Homework is an opportunity for students to practice skills and activities, to share and discuss ideas, to review material, to become acquainted with resources, to organize thoughts, to prepare for classroom activities, or to make up incomplete classroom work. Students are expected to complete homework on time. Here are the grade level homework expectations. Please check with your child’s teacher for more specific information.

We believe that students should develop positive study skills at home to prepare them for the JR/SR High experience. However, we also believe that spending quality time with families talking about their day, reading books, and learning about life are equally important.
