This is a non-traditional look at solving problems. Techniques used range from drawing diagrams, making systematic lists, eliminating possibilities, matrix logic, patterns, guess and check, sub problems, unit analysis, models and manipulations, working backward, Venn diagrams, algebraic equations, and finite differences. This course is intended as a supplement to the core math courses, with an obvious focus on solving “real-world” problems.
