From the Principal’s Office
Dear Cora B. Darling Families,
Happy April! It's hard to believe how quickly this school year is flying by. As we step into spring, our building is buzzing with energy and excitement.
Kindergarten Round Up
Kindergarten Round Up will be held on April 17 at the elementary building. There will be no Kindergarten / JK classes that day. Please watch for a packet coming home with your preschool students. Inside, you will find several items that will need to be completed by the day of Round Up. If you have any questions, please contact the elementary office for more information. (563) 864-7651, ext 403
ISASP Testing
ISASP Testing in Grades 3-6 will be taking place this month, also. A letter will be sent home at conferences listing the dates that your child will be taking these tests (varying by grade level). Please set your child up for success by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive (on time) each day. We believe our students will ROCK this test!
Enjoy this beautiful spring!
Mrs. Hertges

Second Grade Learning
In their Amplify Reading Knowledge lessons, the second-grade students have been learning about Clara Barton and the founding of the American Red Cross. Our learning partner for this activity was Veterans Memorial Hospital, who helped to provide the materials used to create 21 First Aid Kits, one for each elementary homeroom.
Special Thanks to Veterans Memorial Hospital for their generous donation!
