The 6th Grade Student Council Members attended the Youth Voice in Action Summit at UIU in Fayette, Iowa. Iowa State Extension and Outreach staff lead work sessions teaching important leadership skills. They also helped students explore and learn about their own leadership styles and talked about the importance of working with a variety of leadership styles to have the most productive leadership group. Students then had the opportunity to create an action plan for a project they would like to complete this school year.
