Postville Board of Education Meeting
Special Scheduled Meeting at 5:30 P.M.

Travis Koenig called the special meeting of the Postville Board of Education to order at 5:30 PM, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, with the following members present: Amy Loera, Greg Lage, Eric Meyer, Larry Schultz. Members absent: N/A.

Motion by Meyer, second by Loera, to approve staffing up. Carried unanimously.

• Resignation Tim Dugger/Superintendent/Jr Hi Girls’ Basketball
• Hiring of Kyle Brock/Asst HS Football Coach
• Hiring of Ryan Holthaus/Ag Ed Teacher (FFA)

Information was provided and discussion took place regarding the superintendent position and hiring process. A decision was made to consider sharing options.

No action was taken regarding the contract with Grundmeyer Leader Services.

Motion by Meyer, second by Lage, to move the meeting into closed session at 5:44 PM pursuant to Iowa Code Sections 21.5(1)(a). Carried unanimously.

The board returned from closed session. No further board action or discussion took place.

Motion by Loera, second by Schultz, to adjourn the meeting at 6:19 P.M. Carried unanimously.
