Postville Board of Education – Collective Bargaining Session

The meeting began at 3:30 PM. Postville Education Association shared an initial bargaining proposal with the Postville Board of Education. The Association proposes a yearly salary increase of $1,465 added to the base for year one. The proposal included a 5.18 % each year for two additional years (through June 2026).

The second portion of the meeting began at 3:40 PM. The Postville District proposed a 3 year contract, and offered a 2.38% increase ($300 to base) for the first year. The proposal included:

• An updated Schedule F – Nurse’s Salary Schedule
• Schedule C Updates
  • Career and Technical Student Organization Advisors (CYSOs) added to Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and FCCLA
  • .05 .06 .07 .08
  • Update name for Student Ambassadors, Annua/Newspaper
  • Out of School Assignments-As director by the Board
• An update to the TSS Carryover to 5%, per state law
